The Hypnotic Bar is an effort to prove that drugs and alcohol can entirely be replaced by hypnotic states without side effects. Nerenberg first introduced the idea as an IdeaCity speech in 2014. Since then he has demonstrated the Hypnotic Bar in night clubs around Canada. At the Hypnotic Bar people are hypnotized to feel they are drinking a variety of alcoholic drinks when they are drinking only water.
